Salinas, Ca. brewery Alvarado Street is set to turn 10. With this being said they’re releasing 7 beers in 2 weeks. Here is what is dropping week 1. All info via ASBC Instagram account.

Ten years and twenty batches of Motor Oil! Everything we have learned over the last decade about making stout was poured into this beer. Though not technically a collaboration brew, over the years we have been lucky enough to work with several of the best stout producers in the game and their fingerprints are all over this. To honor our tenth anniversary, we looked back on all of our favorite editions of Motor Oil, and the one that stood out, coincidentally enough, was Motor Oil X. It was a blend of freshly brewed Motor Oil blended with some of our coveted barrel stock, then conditioned on vanilla and cacao nibs. For Motor Oil XX we took the same approach, but added another layer of delicious complexity with toasted coconut paying homage to Motor Oil 1. We were very picky with the barrel aged liquid we blended in and the result is equal parts complex, luxurious and decadent.

It is a fitting tribute to our past and present as brewers-but more importantly, it is a tribute to all of you who have come on this journey with us!

This tremendously potent version of our classic POG sour has fruit and alcohol strength at its highest levels, and is brewed once a year around our Anniversary festivities. Epic amounts of passion fruit, orange and guava were required to achieve peak tropical relaxation in liquid form.

Remember this one is 10% so relax and enjoy responsibly!

First up this week, we have a little thang called TDH CNJ!

Inspired by our 7th Anniversary edition of Contains No Juice, this TRIPLE dry hopped version of our classic Hazy DIPA takes advantage of everything we have learned about progressive hopping techniques in the last ten years. Last year we claimed that it was the most impressively raw expression of CNJ we have ever produced. Well, this year, being who we are – we pushed it even FURTHER. Be warned, this beer doesn’t just produce a cloud of aroma- it stirs up an entire storm. From first sip, the hop oils will completely conquer your palate as waves of dank juicy goodness continue to unfold. Words just don’t do it justice.
