When Stone Brewing Co. partnered with Foundry Distilling Co. to release Arrogant Bastard Whiskey a few years ago, they figured some people would be pretty excited about it. They didn’t realize it would sell out just about everywhere within hours and bottles were going on the secondary market at a massive markup.
So they knew a second offering was necessary. Only this version was aged even longer (4+ years) in new charred oak barrels. Made with 100% malted barley, it’s truly an American Malt Whiskey worthy of the Arrogant Bastard name.
Oh, and as if the word of the Bastard isn’t good enough, it just brought home the gold medal in the American Malt Whiskey category at Whiskies Of The World. If you’re into that sort of thing.
This transcendentally excellent whiskey is available starting this month at select retailers in California, Iowa and Texas. (Note: you will NOT find it available at Stone locations. Because liquor laws are a whole thing.)
