Texas has a ton of breweries that stand out like Celestial Beerworks, Meanwhile Brewing Co., Live Oak Brewing CO., Jester King, Zilker, and man the list can go on especially your state has Pinthouse Brewing.Wether you’re are in Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio Texas has hitters. But we think these are some breweries you should also check in no order.
CACTUS LAND BREWING CO. – ADKINS, TX
If you ever find yourself just outside of San Antonio and stumble into a town called Adkins then you’ll find yourself at Cactus Land Brewing… hopefully. This rural brewery just 20 minutes south east of downtown San Antonio is open every 1st and 3rd weekend of the month so be sure to visit their website to see what days they’re operating. Founded by Dustin and Erica Teague in 2016, Cactus Land strives to create a family friendly atmosphere with diverse options for everyone. Their beer styles range from Stouts, IPA’s, Pilsners, Wheat Beers, Fruit beer and sour beers. They also offer a variety of craft wines and ciders as well as non-alcoholic homemade root beer and lemonade. What to expect besides drinks is a beautiful Texas country side and if you find yourself hungry they have a a range of food truck that rotates each visit as while as have merch days.
ON ROTATION KITCHEN AND BREWERY – DALLAS, TX
If you ever find yourself in Dallas and are wanting to drink beer from a brewery but also some other offerings than you’re in lucky! On Rotation Kitchen and brewery is just that. They take pride in curating one of the most eclectic and exciting tap lists in Dallas, featuring their own small batch brews alongside the best craft beers, ciders, meads, and hard seltzers produced locally in North Texas (Dallas, Fort Worth, and beyond) as well as rare, sought-after offerings from all across the globe. All of their guest taps rotate, hence their name On Rotation. That means when they run out of something on tap, it’s gone – typically for the rest of the year, if not forever. They offer everything they have on tap to go in crowlers (32oz cans they can fill on-demand), growler fills, or 16oz can 4-packs & singles for the beer we produce at On Rotation Brewery & Kitchen. The only on-tap items they cannot offer to go are their nitro taps & their Czech LUKR tap as those beverages are not designed to travel well in a crowler or growler.
Hungry? On Rotation Brewery & Kitchen offers a full menu made fresh daily in their on-site kitchen.Their menu centers around their gluten-free fried chicken with brewpub staples and scratch kitchen sides. Choose from their bone-in fried chicken, served by the half or quarter, roasted or fried chicken tenders, or any one of their sandwiches, wraps, or salads.
HOPSQUAD BREWING CO. – AUSTIN, TX
Austin Texas is known for some amazing breweries and one to check out is Hopsquad Brewing Co. With a vibrant artsy vibe with clean beer and good vibes Hop Squad is a go to brewery to have fun or just enjoy a pint. Need some food they have you covered. Dough Squad offers some doughy themed foods that will make your mouth water. With more than just beer they other offerings like their frozen bevvy Verde Lemonade and margaritas. When in Austin be sure to stop by.
FIVE STONES ARTISAN BREWERY – NEW BRAUNFELS, TX
What town is between San Antonio and Austin? While New Braunfels of course and if you’re looking for a brewery then 5 Stones Artisan Brewery has you covered. Found by Seth Weatherly who was once an avid home brewer found his calling and began to create and curate recipes that highlighted each brew through real and artisan ingredients. One of his first successful home brews started the Five Stones Journey and has stayed with him for over 11 years now, “Aloha Piña” so be sure to check it out when you visit.
Five Stones Artisan Brewery first began in a small and humble unit located in an industrial park in Cibolo, Texas. In 2015 looked for a new location to fit the growth they were having doing self distro and in 2016 they found the 19 Acre property they now call home and were you can enjoy amazing beers and scenery. They opened their doors to the public for the first time in November of 2017!
What to expect! Many seasonal offerings, German, and hoppy beers with beers to go. But if you don’t want beer and want to enjoy a little something else FIve Stones offers a variety of wines from Elah and Kinnor coffee like their maple latte.
CENTRAL DISTRICT BREWING CO. – AUSTIN, TX
Austin definitely is going to hold it down in 2025 and if you want to go out and about in Austin with friends and enjoy the day then CDBC is the place to stop in and grab a drink while you enjoy the amazing decor and vibes. Wether you want something lite, hoppy,or sour they have you covered. But what if you need a little than beer? While you can expect other beverages that make catch your taste buds like cider, hard seltzers, wine, cocktails or some friendly non-alcoholic drinks like mocktails. This place reminds us of a small version of Meanwhile Brewing Co. which is also in Austin. Be sure to stop by this year and check them out.
